Currency in Costa Rica

For those of you that haven't exchanged any money before leaving on our trip to Costa Rica on Monday, I made the following photo of current exchange rates for the Costa Rica colon and the US dollar.  

It's a good idea to become accustomed to the currency in Costa Rica before our trip.  In the next two days when you purchase something, think about what the equivalent cost would be in colones.   If you do this several times, you will feel more at ease when making purchases with colones next week.

There are also coins as part of the currency, but my bank does not exchange coins.
